Screens

Loading Screen

The loading screen is the first screen you will see, it contains general information including the version number.

This screen will appear whilst Sequence is loading, it will then load the start screen.

Launch Screen

The start screen is the main launch pad for all of Sequence's functionality. There are three buttons; Sequence, Options and Help. Clicking on Sequence will launch the main app. Clicking on Options will show you all of the available options. Clicking on Help will take you to the help screen, which is where you are now.

Sequence is the main application, here you can create your performance. The app contains;


How to use

Make a sound

Tap your finger onto one of the squares on the screen, it will change color. This signifies that it is in an ON state, when the cursor rolls over it, it will play the current sound for that layer and play that layer's animation.

Turn off a sound

To turn off the square, simply tap it again. by turning on and off certain squares you can build up a performance of audio and effects.

Change a sound

To change a sound, press on the sound button, this reveals a sound picker, which when changed; changes the current sound for that layer.

Change a layer

To change the layer, press the layer button, you are presented with 16 different layers; each with it's own effect.

Adjust the tempo

If you are unhappy with the BPM (Beat's per minute) of the track, click back, go to options and change the BPM slider control, it will change the speed of the performance in real-time.

Recommended usage

We recommend that you use the application with headphones, this is because you iphone/ipod only has a single speaker, therefore you can only get mono sound, using headphones you get stereo sound, it sound's a lot better!

Health and Safety

We recommend that you don't spend hours at a time using this application. Try not to turn the sound up to high and create too many visual effects, Take a break often.
